Check if an email address is real before you send. We check the format, throwaway inboxes, the domain and its mail servers, without sending anything to the address.

Up to 10 free checks a day. The address isn't stored.

Paste up to 1,000 emails and phone numbers into the free bulk verifier and check them all at once, with no sign-up. Download the results as a CSV.

What the results mean

Valid
The domain exists and its mail server accepts email. The address is safe to send to.
Risky
It may work, but something is off: a throwaway inbox, a domain that looks abandoned, or almost no mail setup. Sending to it could bounce.
Catch-all
The mail server accepts every address at the domain, so this exact inbox can't be confirmed. Email may or may not reach a person.
Invalid
The address can't receive email: a typo, a domain that doesn't exist, or a domain with no mail server.

How the checker works

  1. 1Checks the address is written correctly, and spots common typos like gmial.com.
  2. 2Checks it isn't a throwaway inbox from a temporary email service.
  3. 3Looks up the domain and its mail servers (MX records), and checks those servers exist.
  4. 4Recognises the email provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and others) and checks the domain's website and its SPF and DMARC setup.

Questions & answers

Is the email checker really free?

+

Yes. You can check up to 10 addresses a day without an account. To check a whole list at once, use the free bulk verifier: up to 1,000 contacts a month, also without an account.

Do you send an email to the address?

+

No. Nothing is sent and the person is never contacted. We check the address's format, whether it's a throwaway inbox, whether the domain exists, and whether its mail servers accept email.

Can any checker be 100% sure an inbox exists?

+

Not without emailing it. Many mail servers accept every address or hide which inboxes exist. A Valid result means the address can receive email; Catch-all means the server accepts everything, so the exact inbox can't be confirmed.

Do you store the addresses I check?

+

No. The address isn't saved. We only keep a short record of each domain's mail setup so repeat checks are faster.

How do I verify a whole list of emails?

+

Paste it into the free bulk verifier: it checks up to 1,000 emails and phone numbers a month with the same checks, and you can download the results. For bigger lists, upload them to an OpenSheet account and press Verify.
